This year’s “Come and Play an Instrument Day” will take place at Twyford School on 20 May 2023 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. This is where we throw open the EJMS Instrument Cupboard doors. FREE ENTRY at Twyford C of E School Acton W3; FREE PARKING @Twyford School Sports Centre.

A wonderful opportunity for youngsters aged 3 to 18 to “have a go” on a musical instrument. From Trumpets, Horns, and Trombones to Oboes, Bassoons, Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Bass to Flutes, Saxophones, Clarinets, & Drums Percussion, your children can try them all with expert help from the EJMS music teachers & wonderful students. Loads of Stickers to collect!

Our legendary Musicianship Classes which are fun musical foundation groups for children aged 3-9, will be having hands-on drop-in Workshops, so something to do for the whole Family. Refreshments are on sale; no advance booking is needed, just turn up!

Bank Holidays this term—Coronation weekend.

For the avoidance of doubt, EJMS WILL be operating on the Coronation on Saturday 6 May 2023. The EJMS Calendar was planned and agreed upon with Twyford School well before the date of King Charles’ Coronation was announced. There are now three bank holidays this term, and the calendar constraints are such that even before the new bank holiday was announced we can only take one Saturday off over the half-term.

You will, of course, be able to watch the Coronation on your laptops etc in the cafe. Or watch it on catch-up at home.

End of Term Concerts

A reminder that our end-of-term concerts on 1 July 2023 will be held in St Barnabas Church, Pitshanger Lane W5 1QG. Concert 1 at 6.00 pm. Concert 2 at 7.30 pm. This is the special venue where we round off and celebrate our past academic year.
