EJMS Presidents & Patrons
Ealing Junior Music School was originally part of the borough-wide music provision provided by Ealing Council.
When the Council decided to close EJMS in 1993, the then parents set up an independent Charitable Trust to continue the music services.
Sir Simon Rattle, OM CBE
The world famous conductor, graciously agreed to become the EJMS President.
Sir Magdi Habib Yacoub, OM FRS
The equally famous Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Imperial College London, graciously agreed to become a Patron.
George Melly
Former patrons included the late George Melly, the jazz and blues singer, critic, writer and lecturer.
Anna Ford
And Anna Ford, the former journalist, television presenter and newsreader.
